  • 6:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Race Day – Packet Pick-up
  • 7:30-11:30 Kaiser Permanente Women’s Fitness Festival and Expo
  • 7:30 a.m. 5K & 10K Start
  • 9:30 a.m. Girls’ Princess 1/2 mile (12 and under)

The Start will take place near 9th between L Street and Capitol.


Directions & Parking

With over 4,000 total participants plus family and friends to cheer you on, expect very heavy traffic race morning. Please allow extra time for parking. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Metered parking is free on Sundays in the downtown Sacramento area, with the exception of Old Sacramento. There are alternate sites for race parking that are available for pre-purchase HERE.

From Westbound Hwy 50/Business 80 (Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, etc.):
Exit Hwy 50/Bus 80 westbound at 16th Street. Go north on 16th to L Street. Go west (left) on L Street to city parking garage at 10th & L, 1015 L St. ($5 flat fee from 6am to 10am).

From Northbound 1-5 (Pocket area, Laguna, Stockton, etc.):
Exit I-5 northbound at Q Street; continue east on Q to 16th Street. Turn north (left) on 16th to L Street. Go west (left) on L Street to city parking garage at 10th & L, 1015 L St. ($5 flat fee from 6am to 10am).

From Southbound I-5 (Natomas, Woodland, or Roseville/Rocklin via I-80): 
Exit I-5 southbound at J Street. Continue east on J Street to 12th Street. Turn south (right) on 12th to L Street. Turn right (west) on L to city parking garage at 10th & L, 1015 L St. ($5 flat fee from 6am to 10am).

From Eastbound Bus-80/Hwy 50 (West Sacramento, Davis, Bay Area):
Stay right from I-80 to Hwy 50/Bus 80 in West Sacramento (toward South Lake Tahoe, NOT Reno). Exit Hwy 50/Bus 80 at 16th Street. Turn left (north) on 16th to L Street. Go west (left) on L Street to city parking garage at at 10th & L, 1015 L St. ($5 flat fee from 6am to 10am).

– Please plan to arrive at least an hour before the start of your race. Expect heavy traffic on area streets and parking lots.
– Special Event parking ($5 per vehicle) will be available at the Capitol Garage located at 10th and L Street. Must pre-pay for the special rate.  Link will be posted closer to the event.  Please check back.
– Parking meters are not enforced on Sundays; however, there is NO PARKING on L or N Streets around Capitol Park.
– Light Rail will operate race day. Consider using this transportation alternative. Visit www.sacrt.com for routes and schedules.

Just ride your bike to the Capitol and with some help from the Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates, we will do the rest.


Course Information

5K (3.1 miles)
A 5K (3.1-mile) run and walk for women only. Starting and finishing at the State Capitol in Sacramento. The 5K course is B-tag timed to ensure quick and accurate race results.

We have established a scenic loop 5K course that travels through downtown Sacramento.  USATF course certification: CA15036RS


10K (6.2 miles)
The 10K (6.2-mile) run course is the same beautiful course as the 5K only you get to do it twice! Double the fun. The 10K will also be B-tag timed. The course will be split with cones to allow for those running the second loop of the 10K to be able to get through the runner traffic. USATF course certification: CA16053RS


There will be one aid station on the 5K course and two on the 10K serving water and Nuun electrolyte replacement beverage. The first one will be near the 1-mile marker. The aid station is near Q St. and 15th St. at Fremont Park. The second aid station for the 10K will be near 9th at N St. just after starting the second loop.


The First place woman overall in the 5K and 10K will receive a special award.

Awards to the top three finishers in the following age groups: 12-under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-over.
